Órale Mundo

● Session 08  ·  Filmed at The Music Room, Erie, Colorado

The artist

Órale Mundo play hot Latin rhythms, the music of Carlos Santana reimagined, Latin soul, boogaloo, and the catalogue underneath all of it: Willie Bobo, Tito Puente, Bob Marley, with rock and jazz surprises they don't announce in advance.

Several of the band also play in Soul Sacrifice, a tribute to Carlos Santana, and the lineage is audible. These are songs built from the percussion up, timbales at one end of the floor, congas at the other, bass and guitar working the space between them.

They set up in front of the racks and we rolled.
