Alexa Wildish

● Session 10  ·  Filmed at The Music Room, Erie, Colorado

The artist

Alexa Wildish writes from Lyons, Colorado, though she arrived the long way, a year living out of a van, moving through the western states.

Her songs sit where Americana, country and Celtic folk meet: introspective writing carried on arrangements larger than you expect from a voice this unhurried. She won the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival songwriting competition in 2019, and turned four chairs on The Voice. Her eponymous EP was made with producers Dan Knobler and Russell Durham, with Ruth Moody of The Wailin' Jennys and Jordan Tice of Hawktail playing alongside her.

She came to Erie with a guitarist and an upright bass, and we filmed it in front of the racks.
